![]() We're more than just children's clothing. While I have been building the Brand Catch The Cuteness, I have also been working on a Children's Illustration book called, Shrimp n' Lobster go to Paris! You might recognize Shrimp n' Lobster, they are our product logo! They are more than just environmental mudbugs. They are adventurers! At the moment my work is getting put into a dummy book which will then be submitted to Publishers. So this morning I wiped the slate clean. I have spent the summer building the side of my fridge with all the wonderful places to explore throughout Paris. Often times I would get jealous of my little mudbugs. It seriously looked like they were having fun! But what's wonderful about finishing a project that I've worked so hard on, is starting a new one. Shrimp n' Lobsters adventures come from growing up with a family that LOVES to travel. My father asked me long ago what it was that I took back with me from all the adventures he and my mother had taken me on. I said, I'd love to experience those same places with my own family. His response was, "That's my girl!" My father was killed in a plane crash in 96' and I never forgot that conversation. It's amazing how one question made such an impression on me, and I was just a kid. But here's the deal, I don't want to share Shrimp n' Lobster with just my family, I want to share them with the World. Yes, that's a bit Grandiose, what an ego-maniac (again), who am I to go for something so big? But as Shrimp n' Lobster say, "Sometimes big dreams come from small places." So I'm just gonna go with it. ![]() This is all it takes. Pencils, pens, and a blank sheet of paper. Ah, and lots of erasing.
