This winter has been particularly cold, especially in our warmer southern coastal states. Unfortunately, it can be quite devastating for our fun loving sea creatures! In particular the Sea Turtle. But don't tell Florida State Governor Rick Scott, who calls it "nuisance flooding." Sea levels are rising and it has overtaken five Solomon Islands. Perhaps the governor should visit this Island nation and get their opinion on the matter.

In the Arctic the ice is a safe place for many sea creatures, including the Narwhale, Beluga and Seal. With the ice receding Orcas are able to move further north to get to their favorite tasty foods.
Local fishermen have seen the prey of Orcas act in fear as they approach, one example is the Seal. As a pod of Orcas approached a Seal would rather jump into a fisherman's boat than face the Orca.
